In 2006, in the village of Ilino, at the initiative of local residents and with the participation of priest Evgeny Lipatov, a chapel was laid in honor of the righteous Peter the Great. Since the 1990s, parishioners of this and neighboring villages began to restore the church at the Dmitrievsky cemetery, where summer services and memorials were held. In winter, worship took place in the chapel. All restoration and construction work was carried out slowly and by their own efforts.

On July 5, 2014, with the blessing of Metropolitan Evlogy, the first Divine Liturgy was held at the temporary altar in the Church of St. Demetrius of Thessalonica. On November 22 of the same year, the parish priest, Father Konstantin Shevyryin, served the first Liturgy in the chapel-church of the village of Ilino. Currently, an altar apse is being added to the originally built chapel.
