On September 30, 2011, a chapel in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul was consecrated in the village of Staroje Semyonkovo in the Petushinsky district. This event took place with the blessing of Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal.
A bit of history: On September 12, 2005, with the blessing of Archbishop Evlogy, the district dean, Priest Sergey Beryozkin, held a moleben marking the beginning of the chapel's construction in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul.
The consecration of the chapel was performed by the district dean, Priest Sergey Beryozkin, the chapel's rector, Priest Nikolai Romanovich, the rector of the Holy Protection parish, Priest Leonid Bespalov, and the cleric of the same church, Priest Andrey Aydarov, with Deacon Alexey Nesterov also serving. The chapel was built with funds from the village residents and all who appreciate this wonderful place, for which they express their sincere gratitude.
