The holy spring of the great martyr Paraskeva is a traditional pilgrimage site for Orthodox residents of Saratov, as is the village of Elshanka. This village is located 70 kilometers from the city, and the spring, known as the "White Key" spring, is situated between the villages of Elshanka and Usovka in the Voskresensky district. It is 2 km east of Elshanka and 3.3 km northwest of Usovka.

The history of the spring is connected to the miraculous icon of St. Paraskeva, which the peasants found at this site and transferred to the church in Usova. However, the icon disappeared from the church in less than a day and was found again at the spring. After the icon disappeared again, people decided that its place was next to the spring, and a chapel was built there. It is said that there was a large stone near the spring with an ancient prayer engraved on it, from which one should drink water. In Elshanka, the Archangel Michael Church was built with an altar in honor of the saint. Every year on the tenth Friday after Easter, the clergy and believers made a procession with the icon to the spring. After the revolution, the church was destroyed, and the icon disappeared. A school was built from the bricks of the church, which later burned down. The spring was repeatedly filled in, but it broke through again.

In August 2004, a new church in honor of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia was consecrated in Elshanka, which received a new relic, an image of St. Paraskeva with a part of her relics. The spring is currently being improved: a log bathhouse has been built, and the spring's outlet is arranged with steps, allowing water to be collected in large containers. In 2005, a chapel in the name of St. Paraskeva was built at the spring, thanks to the efforts of the director of LLC "White Key-M" V.D. Perevalov and the financial support of LLC "Trading Company RIF." On September 26, 2005, the chapel was crowned with a wooden dome and cross, made in the ancient Novgorod tradition. It was consecrated by Priest Konstantin Markov with the blessing of Bishop Longin of Saratov and Volsk.

Parishioners of the church in Elshanka make annual processions on the tenth Friday after Easter and on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord from the church to the spring of St. Paraskeva.
