Chapel of St. Panteleimon the Healer in Fominki

Фото 1
The brick cubic chapel with one dome, built in the late 19th to early 20th century near the old Kazan church, was closed along with it in 1930. For some time, parishioners maintained order in it. As the church fell into disrepair, the chapel also gradually declined. During the Soviet era, it was not used, which may have helped it remain in good condition. The church was blown up in 1974, but the nearby chapel miraculously survived. After the explosion, it was initially left in a wasteland and then found itself next to a restaurant. In the late 1990s, a decision was made to restore it, which began in the early 21st century. The chapel is now well maintained.
