In 1997, a brick chapel with four pillars was built. It was erected over a cross that was installed a year earlier, in 1996, after the city of Raduzhny was consecrated by Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal. The city was created during the Soviet era as a closed administrative-territorial formation (ZATO).
