On December 1, 2019, in the 24th week after Pentecost, Metropolitan Ferapont of Kostroma and Nerekhta, head of the Kostroma diocese, conducted the Divine Liturgy at the Epiphany Church in the village of Krasnoe-on-Volga. On the same day, near the church, the ruling hierarch of the Kostroma diocese consecrated a chapel dedicated to the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, at the site where many prisoners were shot during the Bolshevik persecutions of the Church. After the consecration, a memorial service was held with a prayer for the repose of the souls of all those who perished during the years of persecution against the Orthodox Church. On this day, Ekaterina Vladimirovna Kazakova, the architect of the chapel, was awarded the second degree medal of the Fyodorov Icon of the Mother of God for her diligent work for the benefit of the Holy Church.
