The construction of the chapel in the square near the village school has become a symbol of the restoration of historical justice and repentance. Previously, a beautiful Nikolsky church stood on this site, destroyed in the 20th century. A commemorative marble plaque mentioning this event and a prayer to St. Nicholas has been installed on the chapel wall.
The rector of the Church of Saints Boris and Gleb in the working settlement of Veshkayma, Archpriest Anatoly Kapranov, conducted the consecration ceremony of the chapel, the cross on the dome, and the bell. The head of the Kargino settlement administration, Pyotr Alexandrovich Kryazhev, who initiated the construction of the chapel, awarded the villagers for their selfless work in creating the shrine and presented them with commemorative gifts.
