Unfortunately, we could not obtain reliable information about this structure from the monastery's inhabitants. It is believed that there once was a domestic chapel here, where the elders prayed, while the other brothers were forbidden to enter. However, in the mid-19th century, the building was converted into a monastery hotel, and it lost its cult significance. After the monastery was returned to the Church, the building was not consecrated, but it is mentioned in various sources and on the Raifa Monastery website as the "chapel on the south wall," although the apse is clearly visible.

The southwest tower of the monastery was rebuilt into a prayer house. In one of the catalogs, the building is described as follows: "Prayer house of the 17th century. A two-tiered centralized building with an original finish, representing a roof, over which rises an eight-part vault with a dome on the neck of the light drum."
