The wooden chapel in Yakimanskoye was built over a revered spring. It is a solid octagonal log structure topped with a small octagonal roof with a tent-like shape. According to legend, the spring appeared in 1201 at the meeting place of the Murom people with the princely couple Peter and Fevronia. This spring is especially valued by newlyweds who, after drinking from it, hope for a long and happy family life.
