In the village of Chernovo, in the Lyubimsky district, a chapel was built in honor of the blessed Matrona of Moscow. This small chapel was entirely constructed from wood by local craftsmen. The initiator of its opening was Hieromonk Joseph Popovsky, the rector of the John the Baptist Church in the village of Butyrki. The consecration of the chapel took place on June 27, 2014, conducted by Bishop Benjamin of Rybinsk and Uglich. After the consecration, the bishop, along with the dean of the parishes of the Lyubimsky district, Priest Sergey Kozlov, the rector of the chapel, Hieromonk Joseph Popovsky, the rector of the Assumption Church in the village of Zakobyakino, Priest Sergey Korsakov, and the rector of the Resurrection Church in the village of Voskresenskoye, Hieromonk Benjamin Maltsev, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the chapel.
