The Ustye River begins from a spring located a verst west of the village. The area around the village of Zaozerye is open, treeless, low-lying, and marshy, known as 'Osek'. The spring itself, called 'Plotnitsa', is located on the right side of the Ustye River, three fathoms from it. A spring with iron-rich water flows from it, which the residents of Zaozerye use as a remedy for stomach disorders.

A wooden chapel stood over the spring for a long time, which burned down during Easter week in 1896. On March 18, 1897, the Yaroslavl administration approved the project for a new chapel at the 'Plotnitsa' spring in memory of the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.

In 1898, a new stone chapel was built with donations from A.N. Orekhova and by the decision of the peasants. The St. Petersburg philanthropist Presnukhin donated the icon 'Life-Giving Spring'.

In 1943, the chapel was closed and later destroyed. In 2008, it was rebuilt. By the blessing of Archbishop Kirill of Yaroslavl and Rostov, the chapel was consecrated in memory of the Royal Martyrs. Every year on July 17, a procession is held from the church to the spring in honor of the Saints' memory.
