The spring of Saint Pafnutiy Balakhniy the Miracle Worker, whose relics are still located in the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Balakhna. According to the tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church, the venerable Pafnutiy created and cared for holy monasteries more than 600 years ago, which stretched from Balakhna to modern-day Sormovo.
