The construction of the chapel of St. Xenia of Petersburg and the wall of the Spassky Monastery in Murom began in 1807 and was completed four years later. However, these structures have not survived to this day as they were dismantled.

In March 2006, a new chapel of St. Xenia of Petersburg was laid at the site of the dismantled southern corner tower of the monastery fence. It has a quadrangular shape and was designed based on the chapel located over the grave of Blessed Xenia in St. Petersburg. The chapel was consecrated on April 23, 2006.
