Chapel of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Kremenki

The spring is located about a kilometer from the village of Kremenki. On October 9, 1670, a bloody battle took place here between the tsarist troops and the peasants from Stepan Razin's army. The day before the battle, at dusk, the water in the spring turned red, and the face of the Mother of God appeared, mourning the dead. Since then, the spring has been called "The Manifested" because of this phenomenon.

It is also referred to as Seraphim's. One summer, when local peasant women were returning from haymaking, the venerable Father appeared to them here. He said that the Most Holy Theotokos, before passing through the Kanavka, washes her face with water from this spring.
