For over a century, there has been an Orthodox Old Believer community in the village of Fedurino. Currently, some Old Believers have switched to the new rite, but part of the residents remain true to the old faith, conducting rituals at home and in a chapel arranged in the brick building of a former shop. The chapel was consecrated on July 21, 2011, in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Priest Vladimir from the village of Rytovo in the Vladimir region regularly visits Fedurino, with whom the local Old Believers have long historical ties.

In the past, Old Believers conducted rituals in a prayer house where Mikhail Efimovich Pestov served, known throughout the Vladimir province. He died on January 1, 1918, at the age of 68 and was buried near the former stone church, where a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War now stands. His son, Ivan Mikhailovich, served as a deacon in the village of Rytovo and was arrested in 1937, receiving a 5-year prison sentence. After serving his sentence, he returned to Fedurino. The Pestov family came from the Novgorod province and moved to the Nizhny Novgorod province during the war with the Tatars. Their ancestor, Efim, bought land from Countess Uvarova and engaged in farming.

According to Mikhail Semyonovich Silantyev, the wooden prayer house was located near a ravine close to the river. In 1905, there was a theft of gold crosses and valuable icons, allegedly committed by students. After that, the residents began to advocate for the construction of a new brick church, led by Grigory Ivanovich Vasilyev. Funds were collected from the surrounding area, and one of the benefactors was a resident of the village of Krasno Belyakov. Construction began in the early 20th century, and in 1914, the church was consecrated in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Residents from nearby villages and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church gathered for the celebration. The Fedurino church became the center of Old Belief in the region.

After the death of Mikhail Efimovich Pestov, the parish priest became Alexey Grigoryevich Vasilyev, who served for 19 years. In November 1937, he was arrested, and on December 13, he was sentenced for "anti-Soviet agitation" and shot on December 26.

During the Soviet era, the destruction of churches began, and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary church was destroyed in the 1950s. For some time, a club was located in its building. Now, a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War stands on this site.
