The log structure, built in the "oblo" style, represents one of the simplest types of cell chapels typical for villages in the central part of Russia. It was erected in 1899 and served as a burial place for the temporary accommodation of the deceased. In 1969, the chapel was moved from the village of Yurkino in the Chukhloma district, where it was located away from the main settlement. Restoration was carried out in 1970 according to the project of architect V. S. Shaposhnikov.

The chapel's log structure has a low square shape and is covered with a gentle four-pitched roof made of planks with a birch bark lining, topped with an eight-pointed wooden cross. In the center of the main facade, there is a rectangular entrance with a shield door. On the side facades, there is one square window each. The interior space of the chapel has a flat wooden ceiling supported by beams, and the floors are made of boards.
