The wooden five-domed chapel with facades topped with finials was previously located in the village of Starovo in the Pereslavl district. In 1983, it was moved to the monastery. This is one of two chapels that were relocated to the monastery grounds. Such small wooden structures were typically built on the outskirts of villages and towns, near roads. Their construction was quick and often completed in a single day. Almost all the villagers participated in building the chapels, but sometimes a wandering crew of carpenters was hired with funds collected by the community. After restoration, the chapel from Starovo village regained its five domes and a porch with carved columns.
