Chapel from the Village of Foninskoye at the Goritsky Assumption Monastery in Pereslavl-Zalessky

Фото 1
In the garden, south of the refectory, there is a small wooden chapel that was transported from the village of Foninskoye in the Pereslavl district. A porch adjoins the square log cabin on the west side, while a small extension for the iconostasis is attached on the east side. The four-pitched roof, topped with a dome, is adorned with sharply rising finials, giving the structure a distinctive silhouette. The log cabin is clad in planks, and a frieze with wooden patterns, imitating elements of a brick cornice, runs under the roof. There are fairly large hexagonal windows on the northern and southern walls.
