In 1548, in the village of Kondakovo, in a pious peasant family of Akindin and Irina, the future saint, the venerable Irinarh, hermit of the Borisoglebsky Monastery, was born. He lived in this village for 18 years. According to tradition, Irinarh loved to retreat for prayer by a spring not far from the village. Learning of his desire to build a chapel at this site, one of the local residents, who made bricks, began supplying him with materials.

Perhaps the first chapel over the holy spring was built from bricks that Irinarh himself brought. It was later rebuilt several times, the last time in 1916. Now, only two brick blocks remain from the chapel.

Once, a paved path 800 meters long and 1.5 meters wide led to the spring, and a wrought iron staircase descended from the mountain. In the 1930s, the staircase was dismantled and used to make plows. For a long time, steps remained that allowed easy descent to Irinarh's spring, but they are now gone. It is said that the path was so convenient that women could walk on it in their shoes. The area around the spring was well cleared, and residents gathered there for prayers during processions. On the days of Irinarh's memory, people came to the spring from all around, and many guests arrived.

In 1977, a cross was erected at the spring, and a bathing area was arranged a little further away. Now this place is well-maintained: a second bathing area in the form of a chapel with a dome has been built, and flowers have been planted.
