The chapel, built of brick and belonging to the parish of the Spasskaya Morozovskaya church, was erected with the funds of parishioners in honor of the holy blessed John of Ustyug and in memory of the coronation of the Sovereign High Persons. In the early 1930s, it was closed. Currently, restoration work is planned.
