The small but very picturesque chapel dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring" is one of the attractions of the architectural complex of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery. It is located almost in the very center of the monastery.

The chapel with the "Life-Giving Spring" baptismal font is one of the newest buildings of the monastery. Its creation is linked to the work of a water well established in the spring of 1998, from which water is drawn for the monastery's bakery. To bless the water, the chapel was built in 2005. Inside the baptismal font is a stone from the Jordan River, and pilgrims can take blessed water with them or perform ablutions.
