The healing spring, known in Vyatskoye since the 19th century, contains mineral water with a characteristic hydrogen sulfide smell, which forms a sediment of iron oxide when standing. The newspaper 'Severny Kray' noted that the water from this spring is comparable to the waters of the German resort Baden-Baden. In the 19th century, attempts were made to use the spring for industrial purposes, and it is reported that the water in it ran dry.
On January 19, 2008, a chapel and baptismal font were consecrated in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God Life-Giving Spring, to which water from the Erekhtan spring is supplied.
