In the village of Pogorelka, the construction of a new chapel dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow' has begun. On July 28, 2012, Archpriest Vasily Denisov, secretary of the Rybinsk diocese, consecrated the foundation of the chapel. The project was implemented with the support of V. Matorin, President of the Charitable Foundation for the Revival of Culture and Traditions of Small Towns in Russia. Funds raised at one of Matorin's concerts were directed towards pouring the foundation. On July 27, 2013, Archpriest Vasily Denisov consecrated the already constructed chapel. The new chapel has been built according to the dimensions of the previous one that was located at this site.
