One of the shrines in the complex of the famous Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery in Murom is the chapel dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'Bread Giver'. Its construction was completed in 2004-2005 next to the monastery bakery.

The history of this chapel dates back to 1889, when Murom icon painters received a blessing from the venerable Ambrose, an elder from Optina Monastery, to create an image of the Queen of Heaven. In the icon, the Mother of God is depicted blessing a field with sheaves of freshly harvested bread. This image is the main shrine of the chapel, where believers can venerate the icon, light a candle with a prayer to the Mother of God for help in their daily affairs, and receive the monastery's bread as a blessing.
