Chapel of the Icon of the Mother of God 'The Inexhaustible Cup' in Murom

The elegant building of the chapel, topped with a spire, was erected in 1864 but originally served as a city water intake column. Despite this utilitarian purpose, the residents of Murom adorned it with pilasters and ornate window frames featuring decorative 'locks' at the top.

In 1996, the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery transformed the former column into the chapel 'The Inexhaustible Cup.' It is open daily from 9 AM to 4 PM, except on Mondays. On Wednesdays at 2:30 PM, a water blessing service is held here.
