The memorial chapel is dedicated to the memory of firefighters who died while performing their duties. It was established in 1999 on the territory of the Federal State Institution 'Emergency Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Bryansk Region.' The project was created by V.A. Kovalev, the deputy chief artist of Bryansk. The solemn opening of the monument took place in September 1998, on the day of the celebration of the Icon of the Mother of God, the Burning Bush. A capsule with a message for firefighters of the year 2098 is laid at the base of the monument.
