On December 10, 1996, on the day of remembrance of the founder of the monastery, Bishop Jacob, the Archbishop of Yaroslavl and Rostov, Mikhail, consecrated the chapel built over the holy spring and named in honor of Saint Jacob. The healing properties of this spring, located in a holy place, had long been known to the local residents.
