In the city of Murom, on the territory of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Male Monastery, there is a chapel dedicated to St. George the Victorious. It was built in 2001-2002 in memory of the soldiers who fell in battle. St. George the Victorious has always been revered as the patron and protector of Russian warriors, and he is especially respected in Murom.

The chapel is located in the inner courtyard of the monastery. It is small, with a central dome topped with a cross. The entrance doors and tall narrow windows are arched. The walls of the chapel are snow-white, and the roof is painted green. Inside, there is an ancient reliquary containing the relics of St. George. A wide tiled path leads to the chapel. Above the entrance, there is an icon of the Saint, in front of which a lamp burns.

Every year on May 6, a solemn liturgy is held in the chapel in honor of St. George the Victorious.
