On October 17, 2012, Bishop Theodosius of Tambov and Michurinsk visited the Morshansk land with an archpastoral visit. During the visit, he consecrated a chapel in honor of St. George the Victorious on the premises of the 'Morshansk Manufactory' in the city of Morshansk.

The consecration ceremony was attended by Archpriest Andrey Rybin, the dean of the Morshansk district, Archpriest Sergey Medvedev, the rector of the Church of St. Nicholas in Morshansk, and Protodeacon Alexey Sokolov from the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral in Tambov. Also present at the event were the head of Morshansk, Gennady Viktorovich Kalinin, the first deputy chairman of the Tambov Regional Duma, Vladimir Nikolayevich Karev, and the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Revival of Orthodox Shrines, Vladimir Ivanovich Andreev.

After the consecration, Bishop Theodosius addressed those gathered with an archpastoral message, emphasizing the importance of restoring Orthodox churches and chapels in the Tambov region to strengthen the spirit and traditions of the Orthodox people.
