The chapel dedicated to the Royal Martyrs and New Martyrs was built and consecrated on July 17, 1999, by Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol. The project was developed by architect V.Ya. Busygin.
A burial site for the remains of those who suffered for their faith during the years of persecution, as well as soldiers who fell during World War II, has been created under the chapel.
During the restoration of the Marfo-Mariinsky Monastery, where the chapel is located, remains of the deceased continue to be found. Every year, services are held here on the days of remembrance for the royal martyrs.
