The chapel is being built at the initiative of a private individual near the site where a church in honor of the Bogolyubskaya Icon of the Mother of God once stood. There are plans to restore this church in the future. The main construction work on the chapel is already completed, the facades are fully ready, and the interior finishing is nearing completion. The area is fenced.
Next to the chapel, facing the road, a foundation has been laid for a future building that will combine the functions of a house, utility building, and icon shop.
An artificial mound with a cross has also been created on the site, decoratively imitating Golgotha. The cross is adorned with a lamp with an electric light connected to the streetlights along the road in the village of Boldino. In the evening and at night, the lamp is turned on together with the street lighting.
Passersby reported that one plot away from the chapel lives the initiator of the construction, a certain Nikolai. Local residents involved in the arrangement of the chapel gladly showed his house, but during the photo shoot, the homeowner was not present. More detailed information about the chapel, Golgotha, the old lost church, and the construction of the new one could not be obtained.
