The church in Ryasnitino was part of a united parish that included Borkovo, Ryasnitino, and Bakino, where churches were also located. Currently, the villages of Borkovo and the Bogoslovsky pogost with its wooden church have disappeared from the maps, and the former village of Aleshkin is now marked as a wasteland, although it is also gone. The book mentions an interesting legend about an unusual case: one of the residents of the trading village of Bakino decided to steal the doors of the new wooden church of the Bogoslovsky pogost, which had been delivered but not yet installed. He easily lifted them and carried them home, but upon arrival, he could not take them off his shoulders. In fear of God's punishment, he returned the doors and only after fervent prayers to John the Theologian, in whose honor the temple was built, was he able to easily put them back in place.
