The Chapel of Archistrategos Michael, also known as the Chapel of Archangel Michael, was established at the Murom Internal Affairs Department with funds from police officers on May 21, 2005. The new building was consecrated on August 1, 2006, with the participation of Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal. It is dedicated to the memory of Interior Ministry employees who died in military conflicts in the Caucasus and is affiliated with the Spassky Monastery. This small elegant structure is a narrow tall square with a square light drum topped with a gilded dome, also quadrangular. The facades are adorned with arched frames for windows and doors, and memorial plaques are placed on the walls.
