On May 24, 2013, a chapel dedicated to the holy prince Alexander Nevsky was consecrated in the village of Spasskoye-Lutovinovo. It is located next to the recently built Spasskoye-Lutovinovo Secondary School.

By the blessing of Archbishop Anthony of Oryol and Livny, the consecration ceremony was conducted by the dean of the Oryol district, Archpriest Alexander Prishchepa. He was assisted by the dean of the Mtsensk district, Archpriest Vladimir Gerchenov, and the rector of the Spaso-Transfiguration Church in the village of Spasskoye-Lutovinovo, Hieromonk Chrysostom (Yegorov).

The Chapel of Alexander Nevsky, located on the territory of the I.S. Turgenev Museum-Reserve "Spasskoye-Lutovinovo" in the eponymous village of the Mtsensk district of the Oryol region, was built in 1881 with funds from Ivan Turgenev. Local women approached him with a request to address the problem of alcoholism, as a tavern had opened in the village that became popular among men. Turgenev, taking advantage of the law prohibiting drinking establishments near churches, effectively initiated the closure of the tavern. During the Soviet era, the chapel was destroyed, and its restoration in its original form became an initiative of the management of the "Spasskoye-Lutovinovo" museum-reserve.
