The Chapel of Alexander Nevsky in Central Park of Kostroma was created in 2009 in a brick guardhouse that has survived from the fence of the destroyed cathedral complex of the Kostroma Kremlin. This guardhouse was originally built in the second half of the 19th century, and one of its walls includes a gate from the cathedral fence, dated to the late 18th century.
