The Tambov Agricultural College was founded in 1912 by the decree of Nicholas II in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The building's design was created by the famous architect from St. Petersburg, Adam Iosifovich Dittrich. The educational institution operated for 100 years, but it was closed in 2013 due to a lack of students. Since then, the building has been empty, unheated, and gradually deteriorating.
In 2019, the Department for the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Tambov Region included it in the register of cultural heritage sites in the region, but no measures have been taken to restore the building.
The college is located at: Tambov Region, Rzhaksinsky District, Chakinsky Agricultural College, Central Street, House 23.
