On March 2, 2018, the bust of the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky was unveiled at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark. The work was created by Alexander Rozhnikov, a corresponding member of the International Academy of Culture and Art and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. The ceremony was attended by Denmark's Minister of Culture Mette Bock, the theatre's director Morten Hesselberg, and the Russian ambassador to Denmark Mikhail Vanin.

The installation of the bust was supported by Russian philanthropist Alexander Mamut and was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the first performance of Tchaikovsky's ballet "Swan Lake" on the Danish stage, which took place in the spring of 1938. In 2018, this classic work was once again presented on the stage of the Royal Theatre by choreographers S. Shandorff and N. Hübbe in honor of the traditions.

Alexander Rozhnikov, the author of the bust, is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, an honored cultural worker of the Moscow region, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, and the Union of Journalists of Russia. His works can be found in the State Historical, Literary, and Natural Museum-Reserve A.A. Blok in the Solnechnogorsk district and the State House-Museum of P.I. Tchaikovsky in Klin, as well as in private collections in Russia, the USA, Germany, Japan, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
