In 1799, the Russian army commanded by General Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov was stationed in the Italian town of Lomello, near Milan. In 2011, representatives from Italy and Russia agreed to install a commemorative bust of this outstanding historical figure in the courtyard of Castello Crivelli.

From the Russian side, the ceremony for the unveiling of the bust was attended by the Andrei First-Called Foundation and the Center for National Glory, led by Vladimir Yakunin, who was personally present at the event. The Italians enthusiastically supported this initiative and actively assisted in its realization.

The bronze bust of the count, general, and great commander Suvorov depicts him as handsome, with a touch of irony, and exuding trustworthiness, a true Russian general. His gaze is directed towards where he will lead his brave soldiers. In the arch at the castle gates, a commemorative plaque is installed with the inscription: "The great Russian commander who liberated Piedmont and Lombardy and dispelled the myth of the invincibility of Napoleon's army."
