The Borisoglebsky Cathedral, located on Sennaya Street in Ryazan by the Trubezh River, is a church of the Russian Orthodox Church. It was built in the late 17th century as a parish church and has served as the cathedral of the Ryazan Diocese since 1946.

It is believed that the first wooden church in honor of the holy princes Boris and Gleb existed at the entrance to the city since the founding of Pereslavl Ryazansky. After the devastation of Ryazan in 1237, the Ryazan metropolitan moved to Pereslavl-Ryazansky and established his residence near the Borisoglebsky Church. In 1521, Archbishop Ion II began serving in this cathedral, but later moved his see to the Assumption Church of the Ryazan Kremlin.

The brick church is mentioned in 1568, but in 1618 it suffered from an attack by the Zaporozhian Cossacks of Sahaidachny and collapsed two years later. It was replaced by a wooden parish church. In the 1680s, the existing church was built in the Baroque style, presumably designed by Yakov Bukhvostov. In the mid-19th century, the church underwent several reconstructions, and between 1870 and 1873, a new tall bell tower was erected during the expansion of the refectory.

After the revolution, the church was looted, and all valuables were sent to Moscow. In the 1930s, the building was used as a grain storage facility. In 1945, the church was reopened, and in 1947, the future Patriarch Pimen served there. In 1948, the cathedral was returned to the faithful.

The cathedral received revered icons of the Mother of God from closed monasteries: the Fedorovskaya from the Holy Trinity, the Kazanskaya from the Kazan Epiphany, and the Sorrowful from the Spaso-Transfiguration. A reliquary with the relics of Saint Theodorit is also installed here.
