Driving along the Syktyvkar-Uhta highway, many cannot help but smile at the name of this village. Lyalі, which is the name of the village and the settlement a kilometer away. From the road, you can see several wooden houses and those clad in siding, a steep slope, a bus stop, and a church with a tall dome visible on the left. We could have called it the 'decapitated church' before, but this year, after almost a century of oblivion, a dome with a cross appeared on one of its cupolas.

The installation of the dome on the Epiphany Church in Lyalі became a significant event, even a historical one. After the church was destroyed in 1929, when icons were thrown out and burned, it endured looting, transformation into a warehouse, and a fire. The only icon saved from the fire in 1929 was handed over by a local resident to the Syktyvkar representation of the Kylto monastery, where it is kept to this day.

In June 2021, builders working on the reconstruction of the republican stadium in Syktyvkar installed the dome on the Epiphany Church. This historic event took place in the presence of the Archbishop of Syktyvkar and Komi-Zyryan Pitirim, who blessed Father Vladimir Levichev in 2018 to restore the church in this remote village.
