Annunciation Church in the Village of Annunciation, Tutayev District

Фото 1
Built in 1770 with funds from the landowners Zaborovskys and Selifontovs, the church was made of stone and had a tiered bell tower. It housed three altars: in honor of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the Miracle Worker, and Great Martyr Theodore Stratilates.

During the Soviet period, the building was used as a warehouse, and in the 1950s it was partially dismantled. In 1998-1999, the church was renovated thanks to the contributions of benefactors.
