In the ancient Lefortovo Park of Moscow, the rotunda of Peter the Great has been preserved, built in the favorite resting place of the first Russian emperor. Originally a semicircular gazebo with a monument to Peter the First inside, it was erected in 1805, but on July 16, 1904, a hurricane almost completely destroyed it. Just on August 26 of the same year, Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, along with his sons Ioann, Gavriil, and Konstantin, restored it. During the Soviet years, the gazebo survived, and in our time, it was restored, received a new monument to Peter Alekseevich, and returned to its familiar appearance. A memorial plaque is installed on the upper part of the gazebo mentioning the restoration carried out by Grand Duke Konstantin and his sons.
