The Berezniki Museum named after I.F. Konovalov is located in the city of Berezniki in the Perm Krai. Its historical exhibition covers the period from the Paleolithic to modern times, while the art section includes icons, wooden sculptures, and contemporary artworks. The museum actively uses multimedia technologies, such as touch kiosks, photo frames, and audio systems, as well as a system of "reviving historical plots."

The museum was founded in 1925 by the decision of the Verkhnekamsk District Council and was initially located in Usolye in the Stroganov Chambers. In 1954, it was moved to Berezniki. In 1995, the institution was named after I.F. Konovalov, a well-known local historian who led the museum for a long time. In 1997, the museum became municipal, and in 2000, it was decided to expand its collections by adding artworks, including contemporary pieces. As a result, it was renamed the "historical and art museum."

The museum's collections number over 120,000 exhibits, among which the collections of paleontology, geology, archaeology, and ethnography stand out. The historical exhibition includes household items of the peoples who lived in these areas since ancient times. The art collection features tempera paintings, including icons from the Moscow, Novgorod, Nevyansk, and Stroganov schools. More than 100 exhibits showcase ancient Russian and Old Believer cast metalwork. The museum also houses a large collection of rare books, including manuscripts and early printed editions. Particularly significant is the documentary fund, consisting of photographs and documents related to the history of Verkhnekamye.

Among the most valuable exhibits of the museum are the collection of wooden sculptures, ancient Russian tempera paintings, as well as works by Usolye serf painters of the 19th century I.I. Melnikov and I.S. Doshchenikov. An important place in the collection is occupied by the works of artist L.A. Starkov, the founder of the Berezniki art school.
