The history of the village of Yezdakovo begins in the 16th century, when the first wooden church was built in honor of the Protection of the Mother of God. In the 15th century, the villagers erected a small church, which was soon replaced by a stone one. However, it also became too small, and the residents decided to build a new stone church. Construction began in 1895, but in the first five years, only the foundation was completed. Help came from benefactor Mikhail Mikhailovich Favorovsky, who, following his grandfather's will, began the construction of the new church. The consecration of the church in honor of Archangel Michael took place on May 31, 1903. The church was adorned with a carved iconostasis and church utensils brought from abroad.

In the early 20th century, the village thrived, but in the 1920s, the ringing of bells was banned, and the churches lost their valuables. In 1938, the closure of churches was discussed, but instead, they were used as warehouses and clubs. In the 1970s, the village was listed as unpromising, and residents began to move away. By 1986, the village was deserted.

In 1997, the lands of the village were transferred to the Serafimo-Diveevo Monastery, marking the beginning of the Archangel Skete's history. The abbess Sergia and the sisters began to restore the ruined churches and improve the territory. In 1998, the Archangel Church was consecrated, and in 2004, the Protection Church was restored. The churches house relics, including parts of the relics of the Diveevo saints.

Life in the skete includes prayer and labor. The sisters engage in household chores, care for animals, work in the garden, and in the sewing workshop. The day ends with prayers that give life new meaning. Nearby, the sisters have arranged a spring with a well and a bathing area.
