The Almenyevsky District Historical and Local Lore Museum "Friendship" named after F. I. Shakirova began its work on November 28, 1980. Initially, it was known as the District Museum of Military and Labor Glory "Friendship." At the site where the museum is now located, there used to be a mosque and a madrasah. In 1931, the mosque building was converted into a rural club, which later became the District House of Culture.

This museum is the largest collection of cultural and natural science collections in the district, reflecting the nature and history of the Almenyevsky District. Its funds contain manuscripts and old printed books, photographs, documents, postcards, collections of coins, toys, fabrics, porcelain and faience, orders and medals, clocks, lighting fixtures, musical instruments, and much more.

The museum features permanent exhibitions dedicated to the history of the region and its nature, which familiarize visitors with the everyday life, traditions, and lifestyle of the residents of the Almenyevsky District. These exhibitions are complemented by traveling exhibitions based on materials from the museum's collections.
