In 1912, a garden named Alexandrovsky was created on the northern part of Factory Street, in a natural forest area, in honor of Alexander III. A stage and a summer theater were built in the new park.

In the 1920s, "Sosnovka" came under the management of the union of communal workers, and a club named after Petukhov was opened here.

The newspaper "Soviet Siberia" reported in an article on August 23, 1923, that the garden was used jointly with the club of workers. The newspaper noted that this allowed for circus acts and performances reminiscent of Indian magic, which were compared to the shows of Alhambra performers, from which "the scent of incense" emanated. In the future, such performances were decided to be prohibited so that the "Sosnovka" garden remained a place of rest and reasonable entertainment for the working people.

In the 1930s, the garden featured a dance floor, a summer theater with a cinema installation, a fountain, a buffet, and kiosks.

In 1941, an evacuated factory from the Moscow region, "Khimplast," was located at the site of Sosnovka.
