In 1896, the charter of the Rostov House of Labor was approved, and just a year later, one of the most beautiful buildings of this complex appeared. The project was developed by the chief architect of the city, Nikolai Sokolov. This building originally housed the Nikolayevskaya Hospital, and since 1915, it has been home to the medical faculty of Warsaw University, evacuated from Warsaw.

The building is made of brick, has two floors, and a sloped metal roof. The facades remain unplastered. The main facade faces Nakhichevan Lane, with two risalits featuring attics on the sides. The inter-floor belt emphasizes the tiered division of the facade. The walls are decorated with rustication. The window openings on the first and second floors differ in shape and are adorned with architraves, lintels, and keystones. The windows of the side risalits on the second floor are framed with paired pilasters with archivolts and a curved cornice. The building has a complex configuration and a corridor layout with rooms arranged on both sides.

Today, this building houses the administrative office of Rostov State Medical University. It is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance and is an excellent example of pre-revolutionary urban architecture created under the guidance of Nikolai Sokolov.
