One of the largest libraries in Moscow is located in one of the buildings of a former textile factory, which belonged to the prominent textile manufacturers Shchapovs. The factory was advanced and was twice awarded the right to display the State Emblem of Russia on its products. After nationalization in 1918, the enterprise operated under different names, and in 2002, the unique building, which has survived for centuries, found a new cultural purpose, it became the home of the Central City Public Library named after N.A. Nekrasov.

Today, the N.A. Nekrasov Library is not just a repository of books; it is a venue for various events: lectures, concerts, exhibitions, and discussion clubs are held here. The space operates as a modern coworking area.
